Wedding Invites

The wedding invites I've been working on recently have now been sent out in the post, so I think it should be OK to put up a picture.  They were made using kraft card, folded up to make a wallet, decorated with ribbon and lace and tied at the top with ribbon in a bow.  They were sent through the post like this using large letter stamps and seem to have survived the trip OK.  Inside there were four 'labels' with a heart-shaped top and the first one also has a wee brown pearl heart on it.
They were cut out kraft card on the Craft Robo machine - which seems to have an aversion to kraft card and proceeded to chew up quite a bit of it!! - grrr! Then the details were all printed in a golden brown colour on pearlised cream card and stuck on top.  I made 70 altogether - in a sort of production line system. Just the Order of Service booklets (80 of them!) to do now!!

Baby boy

Another card from my 'to do' list - this time for a baby boy.  The Stamp used is a Tilda one from Panduro, the paper comes from a MME pad, called 'Blink of an Eye' and the card and ribbon are Baja Breeze from SU - one of my favourites, though I think its being discontinued.  The buttons came from a pack I bought at the Crafty Ribbons stall at the King's Hall last week.  For the layout I used this weeks sketch from 'Sketch Saturday' and I can enter the Simon Says challenge as well as its 'Anything Goes' this week.

Baby girl

I haven't had time to make cards for a few weeks now and have been starting to get withdrawal symptoms, so I just decided to take a night off from school work and make a few cards.  My sister gave me a list of ones she wanted, so I thought I'd better start there!  This one uses a very old Sugar Nellie image and card and paper from SU (Pretty in pink - although it looks peach with my photography).  I followed this weeks Friday Sketch Challenge sketch for the layout so I must try to get it linked up before their challenge closes!  Colouring was done with Promarkers and the sentiment stamp is by Stampendous inked with a Pretty in pink pen from SU.

Beary nice

Hannah and I had a wee trip to the Craft Show in the Kings Hall, Belfast, yesterday evening.  There weren't all that many stalls selling card making stuff or cross stitch, but there seems to have been a big revival of sewing so I bought some nice bits of fabric and some ribbon, buttons, paper and card.   I just need to find a few more hours in the day now to get time to make everything I'm planning!  Hannah made the wee sugarcraft bear at one of the workshops - I think she was well pleased with it!  We called into Dunelm Mill afterwards and bought a few packs of buttons etc - and then stopped off at Friar Tucks on the way home! A good trip all round!

WOYWW 201

A very late WOYWW this week - in fact its now the very early hours of Thursday morning.  This week I have been working on a cross stitch baby sampler - it has 12 wee characters from the Beatrix Potter stories around the outside and then the baby's details in the centre - so far I have five of the wee characters stitched. As you will probably have noticed this is not my usual workdesk - it was in fact the end of the sunlounger at the side of the pool at a villa in Cyprus - just beautiful.  Unfortunately now we are half frozen after just arriving back into Belfast and stepping out of the plane to be met with temperatures of around 5 degrees!  Also this week, I completed a lovely 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle - I only bring them on holiday as I would neglect everything else if I was to build one at home!  To find out what eveyone else has been doing this week, visit Julia's blog HERE.
